From May 19th to 22nd 2015, Noemie Bialobroda and Zoo Thomas Hauert will play Mono at Geneva ADC. It is a show for viola soloist, electroacoustic music and eight dansers. The show was acclaimed in several european theatres.

Since Karamzin and Dostoevsky, Switzerland is part of the Russian cultural landscape. This country has been a temporary home place for the likes of Gogol, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Tiuttchev Nabokov and Solzhenitsyn.

Musically, Scriabin gives in Geneva in 1906 a series of recitals which won considerable success. Diaghilev organizes, during the First World War, a festival of music and dance at the Grand Théâtre in Geneva, where Stravinsky directs for the first time in public, fragments of The Firebird, the manuscript score belongs today the Foundation of the Geneva Conservatory.

Today, professors of this Academy take the opportunity to present the pearls of Russian music, through romances and songs, culminating in the masterpiece of chamber music of Dmitri Shostakovich.

On September 19 and 20th 2015 Noémie Bialobroda participates in the chamber music GAIA-Festival that will take up residence at the Haute école de musique de Genève (HEM) for four concerts, after a week of musical events bringing together teachers, former graduates of the school and some advanced students.

She will play the Quartet for Piano and Strings No. 1 in G minor, opus 25 J. Brahms and the Septet for strings and winds in E flat major, opus 20 L. Van Beethoven.

When science fiction literature inspires classical music. Noémie Bialobroda participates in the creation of three cycles of Lieder for soprano, piano and string trio on science fiction texts of Switzerland, Norway and the United Kingdom.

Science Fiction Lieder is a new type of musical creation: three composers from three European countries set music texts of science fiction by an author from their own country.

Garth Knox

On 6 and 7 June 2015, the Music Conservatory of Geneva and its viola teachers Noémie Bialobroda and Laurent Rochat are delighted to welcome Garth Knox, a major figure of the viola for a rich exchange weekend musical. On June 6, will be held a competition for young violists (open to conservatory students) and June 7, Garth Knox will give a day of Master Classes.
